Friends of the Madrid

When rebuilding the Madrid Theatre was just a dream, local residents and business people founded Friends of the Madrid to help raise funds for the new venue. Since the theatre's opening in 1998, the Friends of the Madrid Board of Directors have acted as a community advisory group to Madrid management and granted stipends to performing arts groups who wish to utilize the Madrid but may not have the necessary funds to complete their productions. Friends of the Madrid meets monthly to consider applications for stipends. The Friends of the Madrid also coordinates volunteer ushers for Madrid performances.
