High School Musical
Two high school juniors, the captain of the boys basketball team and a transfer student who excels in math and science try out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and as a result, divide the school.
Directed by Obba Babatunde (known for his Emmy-nominated performance in the television movie Miss Evers' Boys, his Tony Award-nominated performance as C.C. White in the original cast of the 1981 Broadway musical Dreamgirls, and most recently in his highly acclaimed role as Sammy Davis Jr. in Sammy at the Globe Theatre) Choreography by Rena Phillips (Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, Star Search) and Sherman Steward (Dance Theater of Harlem), and Musical Direction by DeBorah Sharpe-Taylor (Director of the United Voices for Peace Children's Choir who recently performed at the Michael Jackson Memorial at Staple's Center)

The Sound of Music
The Sound of Music, with music by Richard Rogers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, is based on the memoir The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Many songs from the musical have become standards, including the title song "The Sound of Music", "Edelweiss", "My Favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" and "Do-Re-Mi". Performed entirely by children aged 7 – 15.
